This is a subject that many of you have probably not thought of. So here it is . . . Should Traditional Bowhunters have the same extended seasons as faclconry users have? That is the question i have been asking US fish and wildlife officials for years. I worked my way up the chain of comand and along the way talked to one of the officials and she said, and i quote, “Think of what participants of falconry are doing, they are harvesting ducks and geese with a bird of prey!”. At the time i was trying to get trad bowhunter the same season as falconry duck season. I simply replied to her, which is harder: making a bird do your work for you, or trying(I said trying) to shoot a duck out of the air with a recurve? Of course she had nothing to say to that she just gave me another phone number and the gentlemen she refered me to gave me another phone number untill i gave up, but i am thinking of starting over again but instead of a federally managed game species like ducks i was think about rabbits! Just giving you all something to think about!!!
