I’m not sure how Dan and Jared take what looks like a typical American Semi-Longbow design, and turn it into such a smooth, surprisingly fast and completely free of handshock work of art, but the Super D is just flat-out amazing.
Combine that with the fastest turn-around time I’ve ever experienced on a custom order, and I think they have convinced me that there is no need to look elsewhere anymore.

That’s a beauty. I love the wood. It’s got character without being flashy. Nice. Dwc

Congrats Bruce – another fine bow. Enjoy!

Thanks, folks. It’s hard to describe what a joy this bow is to shoot, but I would highly recommend getting your hands on one, if this is the type of longbow that floats your boat. And if you’re considering any other Toelke model in general, don’t hesitate – they are great folks to deal with
Ralph – let me know which one you’d like me to send you, as long as it’s not one of my ASLs.

sure is perty! Fast? How fast? Numbers please…
D bows and wood arrows… that’s about as good as it gets!

Steve –
I don’t have specific numbers, since I don’t own a chrono. I know everyone tends to say that their bow is “fast,” but for an ASL with mild backset, it’s the quickest one I’ve shot. Certainly quick enough to deliver a 585 gr. arrow with all the authority it would need for anything I would hunt, with the possible exception of elk.
