Words can not do them justice, pictures only meagerly bring the richness to screen. They are positively on fire here in the North Woods.
Our season opened on the 18th, I’ve seen deer every day, along with two wolves and listened to a bull moose a’hollerin in the distance. So far I just have not been able to get a shot lined up. Season is going great so far, really enjoy being out and about with my longbow.
I have been able to get some good shots of one of the most beautiful falls I have seen in a long time.
What does your 2010 Fall look like?

Nothing richer than natures pallet.

Well, I’ve only heard, not seen, deer so far this season. We have “only” coyote–wolf hybrids hereabouts. We do have moose wander through our yard occasionally. But I’m pretty sure, having lived in each place for several years, that a New England autumn beats all comers for color. So, you’re ahead on points. Oh, wait, the BWCA is just down the road from you. OK, you win. 🙂
That next-to-last photo is one of the grousey-est scenes imaginable. Took me back instantly.
Thanks for sharing!

Beatiful shots that you have there. The fall color has yet to show here in eastern Ohio. The air,at times is starting to feel of autumn, but we still are having temps in the 70’s and low 80’s:cry: I can’t wait!

Wow! Still green down here in the cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul). Amazing what just a few hundred miles does. Some yellow here and there, but today is grey. Rain, rain, rain. And guess which day is my first day to get out? 🙂
Straight shooting up there Grouch!

I’m envious. With record dryness in our region and many of the understory trees turning brown and dying I doubt our fall will be very colorful. But I’m hopeful since our colors are still weeks away. But hey, thanks so much for the great shots of fall foliage in the Northwoods! And good luck with your hunting.
