Nothing better than sitting by the fireplace with my new copy of TBM, after moving snow all day long.
A lot of great stories, I try to hold back from reading the whole Magazine from cover to cover all at once! But, there are always great stories and knowledge to learn. A lot of guys here are long time contribbutors to TBM, like Jason Westbrook.
So Far I read Chad Slagle’s “Renewable Resources” – remnded me of where I’d rather be, and the really important things in life. And Clay Hayes’ “Bare Bones” was wonderful, expressed deep sentiments I believe we all share. Congrats, Clay! Beautiful Bear!
Any Traditional Bowhunter not subscribing to TBM is really missing out.

Thanks, Steve! I have been reading over my copy the last couple of days, and I don’t think my story could have been included in a better issue. Really proud to be a part of it…

Thanks, Clay. I write regularly for some other mags, but I am going to try and get more articles over to Don and TJ.
BTW- I read your article last night and really enjoyed it. I have yet to take a bear with primitive gear, so that is high on the list. Your descriptive and detailed way of writing about your enviroment put me on the mountain. 😉

If you don’t have your magazine by Wednesday call or email the Subscription Department. They were a day late on mailing due to a holiday but they should be there by now.
Jillian can be reached toll-free at 888-828-4882 or email subscriptions@tradbow.com

For the TBM staff and those of you that had articles in the latest TBM. A friend down the road said he thinks it is one of the best ever.
I think the last several issues are about as good as it gets for variety and content.
Tough to please everyone of course but it comes close because of the variety of backgrounds and experience the writers have.
I’m impressed that TBM accepts so much material from amatuer writers like myself and believe that is why it has wide appeal to us regular Joe hunters.Happy Trails,

I agree with everything you said Chad, except for the part about about you being an amateur writer..:) I have enjoyed your articles!

You should email Jillian or call her on Monday so she can send you another copy. She is doing the last mailing this week. Sometimes the magazines get mis-delivered or chewed up in machinery but we will replace them.

Should be there this week. It is also available in our shopping area and I’ll add the description/table of contents tomorrow morning.
Go to the shopping area that corresponds to where the products are shipped. Scroll down to the bottom and go to the second page and select 2010 Back Issues. I would put a link but there are six of them depending on where you live and if you have a Premium Membership. If ya need help let me know.

A question for Robin: Do you make a considerably lower profit on newstand purchases? (My guess is, yes)
I ask this because, per conversations with others, I’ve come to find that when buying books from places like Barnes and Noble, etc., the authors don’t make squat. Personally, I’d rather my money go to the creator of the product, whether that’s in the form of a book or magazine.

Yes, the profit margin is lower on newsstand sales but that is a part of the business. And a very squirrelly business it is. I’ll just say this. Don’t ever buy a book or magazine without a cover. The seller has claimed it was destroyed and the author/publisher gets no money 🙁
I tell folks if you are buying it from your local archery shop or small Mom&Pop place that is fine. If you are buying it from a national mega-chain store you should have a subscription. Some folks like the “hunt” and subsequent shopping trip, some like that their mailman didn’t fold it in half and shove it in their mailbox, some people only want the bowfishing issue…there are good reasons for buying it off the newsstand. It’s a personal choice for sure.
