I know this is gonna sound like I have entirely too much time on my hands but I just had to share. My strings are looking a little scruffy so I figured I’d wax them by applying some wax and using a peice of leather to rub it in. ( Friction Heat) So I did. Well it just so happens I had my wife’s hair dryer by my side, ( i used it to speed up drying time on my fletching). Well I added some wax, rubbed it in and then applied the blowdryer heat to it. An average hairdryer melted the wax further giving me the idea that it penetrated better and into each strand of Fastflight. Now!……Im not saying that this might affect the string negatively but it sure works at getting that wax in there. Just a thought guys. Is sounds crazy but it works…

Bow wax has really changed throughout the years. I now use a wax that was desined to be used with certain string material. And now, I actually clean my strings to remove dirt and dust before waxing, and yessir, it actually works and improves your strings life…

Waxing your string on a regular basis does greatly improve the life of the bow string.
