What is a good choice for a grove silencer? Tried some adhesive felt pad once and they bunched up and slipped the string off the side of the bottom limb.Bad experience and been scared of them ever since.
Best thing I’ve found is to take some good quality yarn and serve the ends of the strings with it. The yarn must me wool and not an artificial material like acrylic. It should also be as thick as you can find.
None….there is no need to add anything to the string or bow limb in this area of the bow. You need to look at other tuning items such as brace height, nocking point, string twist, string silencers, arrow spine & weight, last- is the limb twisted.
I have used the fuzzy side of Velcro kits available in fabric departments. They have adhesive on one side, are easily cut to shape and are relatively cheap. The same material serves well as a rug rest.
