A recent dig near Stonehenge reveals the site was used by ancient hunters 5000 years before the giant stones were erected. It appears the area was part of a major migration route for wild auroch (an extinct buffalo). The area around the stones is littered with bone fragments and flint tools. It appears these early hunters originally erected wood totem poles which were eventually replaced by the massive stones that remain. Check out http://www.livescience.com for pics and an aricle.

No, docking station for visitors……I have evidence, many of them can be seen during the solstice.
There is no evidence it was a bowling alley for giants that’s just silly.
