Hi Chris
As ever I enjoyed every minute of you video, it’s only when you slow the film down I appreciated just how agile those little suckers are.
Keep up the good work, Mark.

thanks guys, this video was probably the most fun I have had in years, the whole process was fun even down to the frustrating moments I had in front of the computer learning my new editing software! I am glad you guys liked it! They are way to fast some times, I have probably a good solid hour of squirrels dodging my arrows, and that take down is no slow poke! It shoots probably close to 220? mabye, but probably closer to 200! and they dodge it easy! Anyway thanks again guys, I leave thursday to go for whitetail for 6 days and then next week on wensday I leave again and go back up for fall turkey for a week!!! Should get some good film out of the deal!!

Great video. It’s proof that you don’t need to be hunting exotic species to have fun and make a very arresting video. I watched it with my sons–they were very impressed with the shot on squirrel #2. 😉 Nice!
My friend, you are the king of multi tasking! Filming and hunting…impressive.
Keep the vids coming and good luck on your season.

I really enjoy your videos. I’m impressed that you do this all yourself. I may have said this before but I’ll say it again, I think they are artfully done and offer a fresh perspective for old and young alike. Can’t wait to see the deer and turkey segments. Good luck and happy hunting.
BTW – what heads do you use for squirrel? I have killed a few with the solid rubber blunts but have not tried the judo or other types of heads.

I use judos! They are awesome, that last shot did not penetrate well, flu flu mixed with the judo only had like mabye a inch, but the shock and all that jazz was detrimental!
Thanks again to all, I loved making this video!!! I just came back from deer hunting with no luck, we are going back this weekend for fall turkey and more deer, I hope I have more luck! Thanks again!

AAAh a southern Marylander, hows it going, I am suprised by that, seeing as how you guys got the deer, I would think that your squirrels would be fearless beacuse all you guys are so focused on the deer, lol.

Reminds me of a trip I took once to the Delmarva Peninsula around Easton Maryland for Deer and Sika Deer. Those Delmarva Fox Squirrels are huge! You can’t miss seeing them with those white front paws. First time I saw one I thought it was a cat coming through the woods. Back then there was no open season on them. Hope the population has rebounded now.

The fox squirrels in NC are about the same size and are almost black. They also became scarce in the 60’s and 70’s and they had to close the season on them. But the population is rebounding and the season is open in select counties with a restricted bag limit. I think it is only 2 per year. I took a trip to Illinois once to duck hunt on the Illinois River. I stayed at a house high on a bluff over the river. I soon noticed they had fox squirrels and they were a dark red color. Made me want to forget the ducks and go squirrel hunting. My host said nobody hunts them there. -
yea I think squirrels are probably overlooked by most in illinois, I think squirrels in general are overlooked by the older crowd, for the most part. I think the only reason that my dad and I hunt them is because our deer population sucks, and for the last three years we have had a freezer full of deer? Our foxes are like a light red, white underside, the grays are dark out west, and here they are gray, lol.
