My local archery shop had a trial jar of Larry’s (Lost Nation Archery) Stalker Stain and they let Ripforce and I borrow it for the weekend.
We each bought a dozen German Pine shafts and went to work. FYI, the orange arrows below are a combination of the stalker on the bottom and Min Wax Sonoma Red above the cresting. I had to coat the Min Wax 3 times and it bled really bad. Even after drying.

The Stalker applied extremely well and one jar goes a LONG way. It wipes on, covers well (even with one coat on pine), and doesn’t bleed when applying a finish.
You can kind of see it in comparison to some of Rip’s arrows on the left. He used RIT dye and alcohol on those and it works real well. I like the Stalker stain because you don’t need to mix it. It’s ready to go.
Anyways, I thought I would share. The orange is comparable to the autumn orange aluminum arrows that seem to be popular these days. I’m going to buy a jar of the blue and green at Grayling if he sets up a booth.
