Just to let you know that Backcountry Hunters and Anglers is holding it’s/our annual rendezvous in Spokane this year, March 6-8. Here are the basics for now, and the site will be updated as more events are cemented in place.

I will be there to give a preview showing of the documentary film “On the Wild Edge: Hunting for a Natural Life” (formerly “The Good Hunt”) … and to help with the brew fest, of course. It would be great to see some fellow tradbowsters there.

Looking forward to it Dave. I like the new title.

I regret that I’ll have to miss this one. I got selected as a Hunter Education Instructor candidate this past fall and their mandatory training weekend is the same one in March. Either I go, or I’ll play Hell ever getting selected again.

I’ll miss seeing a few of y’all again there, though, and David and Clay are near the top of that list.

Man, wish I could be there. But already had plans for my wife’s birthday that weekend.

                Hey Dave,

Do you know weather or not the video will be available for purchase? Or if it is too late to donate on the website for a copy?

I’m hoping to see you in Spokane if my work schedule allows.

                Thank you

Shane, sorry for the delayed response: I’ve been traveling–a bucket trip for my last family member, Clara the dog, also dying on filthy cancer. She loves chasing gulls on the CA beaches. Anyhow, the film won’t be available commercially for some time yet as the filmmaker’s intent from the start was to try and make a “hunting” film that could break into the mainstream via film festivals, and all the good festivals require no prior commercial release. Even the donors, to date, have gotten only a two-week link to see the current, mostly finished, version (they will get a DVD when that time comes). For now, the film will show at the BHA rendezvous in Spokane next month, and again in Jackson Hole at the end of May. Thanks for your interest … and thanks again to all for your great patience with the ridiculous amount of time this has taken and continues to take. I hope it’s worth the wait for all of us.

Thanks for tbe update. I hope it does well in showings and at festivals. I wish I be there to see it, but I’ll just have to be patient. That bit about the bucket trip for your pup put a nice picture in my mind. Peace to the pup. Best wishes , dwc

Dave, could you repost the link to the support site for the film? Thank you, dwc
