My experience is Limited at Best. I shot a few of then down in Denver at RMS Gear. They were a reflex deflex design and shot well for me. The craftsmanship was fine and the price ($400-425) was very reasonable. RMS Gear sells a bunch of them and stocks a few at all times it seems. Personally I liked a Mohawk Longbow for about the same money with a slight reflex deflex design that looks more like a D bow when strung. I should have bought the one I shot but didn’t and off course it sold.

I’ve got oodles of experience with Bamas. I own 2, a Hunter and Royal. Ripforce owns two. Cottonwood owns one. USMC owns one.
We all love ours but I really do not want to skew you one way or the other. I will say that Nathanael is a great guy and does excellent custom work for the price you pay. You get a lot of bow and it will be one of the lightest, quietest bows you will ever shoot.
If you are sold on the R/D design, Bama actually has one in the works but it isn’t ready yet. In fact, I should be testing the prototype soon but he is teasing me with it. lol

I thought about what mts said about wanting a true D shaped bow. I also read everything on the internet about Bamabows. Everyone agrees with Limblover about how great Nathaneal is to work with and how great the bows are so I ordered a Royal model from Nathan. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Now I’ve got to wait severalweeks to get it. That’s going to be tough, and I can’t wait to shoot it. Thanks for the help!!

What type of wood are you going with on your Royal? mine is Zebrawood and Osage on the riser and red Elm limb cores! you’ll love it! I also
have a Hunter which shoots great and is nice and lite weight but it does not smoke an arrow like my royal and they are both 50@28!

I am currently shooting CX Heritage 150s cut to 30.5 with 145 grain tips, I also have tried 350s with lots of weight up front they shoot good too! Limblover has switched to wood arrows, I may do up some myself as I really like the whole aspect of shooting woods out of longbows! he is coming north next week and we may do up some wood shafts! I would really like to get some made up for hunting this fall!

I was thinking of ordering some cedar or sitka spruce arrows but I’m not sure about shaft size or just which to get. The bow will be 50# @ 28″ and I think I am supposed toget 60# shafts but not sure. I will be shooting 125 grain tips. Any sugections?
