Where: McAlester Army Ammunation Plant McAlester Oklahome. Southeast Oklahoma.

Longbow, recurve shoot Sat. 6 Aug.

Selfbow shoot Sun. 7 Aug.

Selfbow, longbow wood arrows only.

Books open 6:30 both days. Close 2:00. Cards in by 4:00.

$15.00 each round cubs shoot free. New class this year. Old Farts. Must be at least 60 yrs. old. Bow must be pre 1980’s. Wood, aluminum or fiberglass only.

Camping avaliable with motels in town.

No FIREARMS allowed for any reason on MCAAP.

No SMOKING allowed on the range.

Thanks for the heads-up on this, Polar. Hard to figure how they can set up ranges in a place with so many deer, without having them wander in front of the targets. 😈 I like the old farts with old bows category, so long as they don’t let expert shooters like our own George in on the deal. 😆 I’d come if it wasn’t nearly a thousand miles. To be honest with you last year there was a deer laying behind the caribou. Scared the heck out of the first group of shooters. Especially after one of them missed the target and it took off. No arrow sticking in it.

We have deer laying around the camp area early morning and in the evening. Lots of turkey with 10″ + beards.

Sure would have liked to have you there.
