I’m somewhat hesitant to post this since it isn’t archery related, but thought some may enjoy a few photos (delete if necessary). I was able to slip away and do a three day float over Memorial Day weekend. Caught some fish, ate a few, and just enjoyed the laziness and solitude.

A few more…the bass is a Suwannee Bass, only found in a few local river systems.

That looks terrible. You should have stayed home and watched tv instead.
JK. Only wish I could’ve been with ya Joey. Love the looks of that bass too. One of the few species of black bass I’ve never laid eyes on.
Beautiful river too. As Georgians, we sure are spoiled with a variety of habitat types and wildlife.

They’re such a cool fish. Reminiscent of a smallie.

Looks beautiful mate! I like the canned dinner with a bottle of wine 😀

Great shots as always Joe. I’m headed down the Flint River with a couple of buddies from my college days in mid-June for a 3-4 day trip. Can’t wait!

Nice Pictures! For being so hot and dry, the river sure doesn’t look low…

I grew up canoeing, and apart from time spent with my wife on dog walks and various excursions, I’m alone when I’m in the woods. It will be a cold day in hell before I complain about someone sharing such an experience here. Thanks!

Damn your hide! 😆 We don’t have enough water out here to float a tea cup.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing!

Good times! I’m looking forward to some canoe trips this summer. Out bass fishing is very limited around here, but it’s trout heaven. Always cool to see other parts of the country.

That looks like a great time. Love to catch those river robins. Heard of the Suwanee Bass but never been fishing where they live. Thanks for sharing.
BTW is that an aluminum canoe with vinyl wrap? Does it dampen bumps and thumps? Add much weight?
D

Thanks for sharing that. It’s good for our souls to see pics like that. And it’s a good reminder to push ourselves up from the couch – away from the TV and get OUT THERE… 😀

Duncan, it’s an aluminum canoe but I just painted the camo with spray paint.

That is great, thanks for posting. Just got back from my Fathers day trip yesterday, had a great time. Floating or wade fishing is one of the best ways to spend time between the archery seasons. Thanks again.:D
