        Hey Bruce, I see you’ve been published – well as a reviewer in the latest 3Rivers catalogue at least! I was leafing through it and spotted your 5 star review of the Badlands Fanny Pack. Nice to see a fellow tradbower in my favourite archery catalogue 😀

          In fact, Bruce gets published quite a lot, mostly in fly fishing magazines and he’s been in TBM. I’m looking forward to his first book. He has both the experiences and the wisdom to make it good.

            Aww shucks, thanks Dave! Seriously though, my friend, it does mean a lot coming from someone whose writing I look up to so much.

            Unfortunately, a new job has put a serious dent in my writing output lately. I need to figure out a better way to balance making a living with the things I love to do…but I’m sure that’s true for most of us!

            If only those voluntary gear reviews on merchant sites paid better! 😆

              Smithhammer, I’ll have to look for the reviews. I always enjoy reading them. What product was it?

              I hope you can find a way to balance earning a living and making time for the rest of it. When you do, write a good story about it to fill in the rest of us.

                And in the comment section of various NPR articles. I read that stuff but never make comments. That is frowned upon at the establishment I work for. 😀

                  Truth be told, I’ve been wondering about this for some time. I like your writing style, Bruce, and enjoy reading your work. Though I’ve only seen what you’ve written here and on a hunting blog (I had no idea your work has been published), I’ve often thought to ask if more of your writing was available. I’d be interested in a book; keep us posted…

                    BTW I wasn’t deriding Bruce’s writing, I just wanted to let him know I spotted his review. My Irish humour is not only spelled differently it sometimes gets lost in translation 😉
