I cannot get an edge on my Zwickey Eskilite 135 gr broadheads. The rear 2/3 sharpen just fine, but the reinforced tip-end will not cooperate. I’ve tried files, diamond hones, soft Arkansas stone and a Lansky carbide pull sharpener to no effect. I would appreciate any guidance on getting the front 1/3 of the broadhead razor sharp.

A friend referred me to this YouTube video. He used this method to sharpen his Zwickeys and pretty much everything else in the house.
I used it with a couple of folding hunters and it worked great. I tried it with a Bud Nealy knife, which is much harder steel, and a Grizzly broadhead, which is also harder steel, and had little success. I think it would work with them, too, if they already had a sharper edge to start with.

Thank you for the video. I’ve used fine grit paper to sharpen knives (but more like 600 or 800). I’ll try it on the Zwickey’s.
