Anybody use the Vertias shaft cutters to make arrow shafts . I am thinking of trying to make my own shafts and was looking at getting one of them. Also know where to get a jig to make footed shafts.

Don’t know about the shaft cutter, but 3Rivers has a jig for making 4 spline footings…

Hello yes I have one of them veritas arrow makers with the 11/32 insert. I have made 100-200 arrows with it sold some on ebay and to other friends, and have made and sold lots of arrows with it. There are some wood it doesnt work as well with like cedar, some of the soft woods not so well what it does is cut a ruff cut on half of the shaft. Douglas fir and other little harder woods it works good in. I am looking to sell it because I am setting up to do big quanitys of arrows in Douglas fir, spruce, and western larch, and vg bamboo.

Any more questions I will be back

            Jonathan
