Do not send through those morons in the brown trucks. I can’t believe how I’ve been treated by them!

I built a 6″ pvc bow case to send my bow to Idaho for my mountain lion hunt. When it arrived, both schedule 40 end caps had been shattered and taped back together and when I pulled the bow out, the snake skins that I used to back the bow had been shattered.

I figured that would surely be covered by them, but they just denied my claim, saying that the pvc is not an approved case for them because it shatters. What the heck!!!!?????

I recently ordered a black widow through the US postal service and it came in a simple box. There wasn’t a dent in it and the bow was in perfect shape. Last time I ever ship anything ever through those brown clowns. I’d suggest you do the same.

By the way, that claim went in to their system in February. I just heard back about it now, even though I’ve called them three times since!

USPS is what I use. the big brown people are too expensive and I have had some problems with them as well. Hopefully they will reconsider your claim.

Sorry to hear that mate. Hopefully you have success with your claim.

I’m blown away by this, especially because I bought a very expensive bow based on the fact that I’d get paid for my broken one.

It’s not going to put me in the poor house, but I just can’t believe that such a massive company would treat a customer this way. I own my own business and I’ve eaten bigger costs than this because of my mistakes. Pathetic.

Either way, they will lose more money because of this than I will. I sent a scathing email and will not use them for any shipping my business does. I’ll also pass the word along to anybody who will listen that they are a pathetic and, surprisingly more expensive, shipping company.

That absolutely sucks, and I feel for your loss. If you have the time and energy, I would keep hounding them. Many companies have an unwritten policy of denying claims outright, until you make it not worth their while anymore. But it’s infuriating that that’s what it might take.

I have only shipped and received bows through USPS, and never had a problem. But I have also heard that getting insurance with the PO is absolutely worthless, if you ever hope to collect on it. Still, they seem to be the best option, and hopefully it never comes to that.

On the bright side, congrats on the new Widow! Love to see some pics when you have a chance.

Not arguing but I’ve had worse with USPS “to certain areas of the country”. I don’t think one or the other is universally better than the other.

Two shipments one particular state…….had IDENTICAL damage.

Tire tracks across the center of the box……..BROKEN COMPLETELY IN TWO PIECES. (Try to IMAGINE what angle of the dangle and what pressure THAT took. Not CRACKED……BROKEN IN TWO!)

                  Not a joke.

A 64 inch 59K on the way……..I’m still “anxious” till it arrives. SELLER DID NOT INSURE IT……:?

                  Arghhh.

Seriously regretful to hear of your issues, regardless of shipper used.
