O.K. old dog new tricks time. I need a scale to measure my acual bow weight so I can tune arrows and bow. Where can I get one? My bow is built for 47#@29″ which I thought my draw length was but measuring my draw length it turns out to be 26″ now.
        Thanks

You can do this with a set of house scales you weigh yourself on. Just make a stick (about 1″ square) with a notch in the end to set the string. Mark the stick at 26″ from the notch and place stick on bow like an arrow. Place the other end on the scales and push the bow down applying pressure on the scale. Once the back of the bow reaches the line, read the weight on the scale.

Don’t forget to subtract the weight of the stick. Anyway, I stopped using that set up hears ago when I had a stick break while tillering. These day I use a Hanson Hand Held scale. Jawge

Thanks for pointing out the part about deducting the weight of the stick and bow from the final weight. Brain is slipping alittle these days.
