I have always mounted my bow quivers with the nock ponit down , mostly i suppose because that is how you see them mounted. Last year however i made a fleece flecthing cover and mounted the quiver nock up to keep rain off . I simply attached the cover with a large rubber band. Is the reason they are always mounted nock down because it makes it easier to grab & nock the arrow that way?

trapperbob…
in all honesty, i think it comes down more to personal preference than anything else. personally, i’ve never tried putting my quiver “upside down”, but I may try it just to see if it makes any difference…thanks for the food for thought…

It’s a good idea, but I don’t think it would work well in the type of stuff I hunt in. It seems like the arrows would be more apt to snag brush when sneaking through thight spots.

Looks to me like you’ll have more movement involved in getting an arrow out of an “upside down” mounted bow quiver and nocked on the string. There was some TV show that lasted abut 3 episodes where the bad guy had a compound with the quiver mounted upside down. It looked like he was waving a flag saying here I am. Looked pretty dumb too. My opinion of course but the show didn’t last long either.
