Fellas, does anyone have anything to say about these bows? I know a guy who’s selling one for a good price, but he’s a continent away so I can’t try before I buy. It’s a 50# Classic.
Cheers,
Jim

I have shot Ron Pittsley’s Predator Bows for the last 20 years and can assure you imho that they are the best 3 piece bows available.

Jim ,I too shoot a predator hunter.Absolutely love it!If you get one you wont regret it. Brian.

They are very nice bows – well made, fast and accurate. The only reason I let go of mine was that I thought it was on the ‘heavy’ side. But if you don’t mind the weight, I don’t think you’ll regret buying one.

That’s encouraging to know gents. I just found out it is of the 60″ variety however and I read on 3rivers Q&A that the 62″ is recommended for draws over 28″. Any of you have experience shooting the 60″ limbs with a slightly longer draw length? I think it’s just a question of finger pinch isn’t it? I haven’t read anywhere that the draw force curve changes dramatically.

Jim, give hunters niche a call.Ron and Mike are great guys and would happily answer any questions you might have. I have the 60″ amo but only draw 26″. My limbs are 61# @ 28″.

I have two 60″ Predators and shoot 29 1/4″ arrows. No problem with finger pinch at all. I shoot 3 under.

So I think I’m going to order one of these. I won’t place the order till August, if anyone has one handy that they could throw on a scale for me to measure the actual weight of the bow, just so I can compare it to bows I’ve shot before, it would put my mind at ease about the only criticism I’ve heard about them 😀 😳
EDIT: Nevermind… someone asked the question at 3rivers and they said 4 pounds.. question answered 😀

Jim I have two sets of limbs for my predator. On the bow scale my 64# limbs pull 56# at 26″.The 61# pull 53#.4# per inch sounds about right.
