There’s been a little bit of discussion about the 3″ maximum length of broadheads in Pennsylvania and how a broadhead with a great mechanical advantage would be considered illegal.
I talked to a bowyer who is active with the PA Longbow Assoc. and he offered up an interesting point of view. He’s certain that the rule is not to limit a traditional cut on contact broadhead, but to limit the making of longer mechanical broadheads, which could lead to more failure in operation.
