        Gun owners…look what’s on the 2010 tax return….

As if we didn’t have enough to get upset about! If you have a gun, I hope it isn’t registered!
It begins… more Freedom gone…. the right to protect yourself and your family gone!
Now ALL GUNS must be listed on your next (2010) tax return!

Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own.
It will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.
This bill was introduced on February 24, 2009, by the Obama staff.
BUT, this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective!
This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986.
This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without the Senate voting on it at all.
Trust Obama? You must be kidding!
The full text of the IRS amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage: http://www.senate.gov. You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099.
You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do.
Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know.
Text of H.R.45 as Introduced in House: Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009: http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/text
Obama’s Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don’t fully comply.

It has begun… this is just the ‘tip of the iceberg!’

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House.
This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
Even gun shop owners didn’t know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar as a ‘minor’ IRS revision, and, as usual, the ‘political’ lawmakers did not read this bill before signing and approving it!

To find out about this – go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Goggle HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009.
You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm – any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
        1) It is registered
        2) You are fingerprinted
        3) You supply a current Driver’s License
        4) You supply your Social Security number 5) You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
Each update change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25.
Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision.
Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.
They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 years in prison.

If you think this is a joke – go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this..
        It is long and lengthy.
But, more and more people are becoming aware of this.
Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass this along.
This is just a “termite” approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense – chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not..

        <http://Thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.45> :

        http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/show>

        http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-45>

Please…. copy and send this out to EVERYONE in the USA , whether you support the Right to Bear Arms or are for gun control.

We all should have the right to choose.

Steve McD, not to worry…. check this website:
            http://www.rmgo.org/alerts/2009-2099.shtml
It seems SB-2099 was introduced in 2000 and went nowhere.
There is no current SB-2099, and if there were, it would have to be made public and would have to come up for a full Senate vote. Seems to be a hoax. Not to worry.

Happy New Year my fellow Americans(and to all hunters everywhere) but this post is primarily addressed to our country’s citizens who have, recently this past year, overturned the government rock. Not surprisingly, all manner of corrupt, naked, squishy, squirming bureaucrats, our representatives supposedly, have been caught and exposed in flagrante delicto as the rapacious crooks we knew they were- it’s the breadth and extent and outright contempt they show us as they unabashedly power-grab and greedily line their own rotten nests that is so shocking.
So be it, do not return the rock to its original place, do not ignore nor excuse, or say you’re too tired, it’s just “politics”- sunshine is the best disinfectant and an informed and armed citizenry, engaged and proactive in defense of their God-given liberty, freedom and responsibilities is the best deterrent to tyrany- soft or hard, then, now, or in the future.
                  If we’re willing to fight.
                  An unarmed man is a serf;
                  Armed, a citizen.
Our Rights are Quietly being Stripped Away!- resolve to be quiet no more.
Resolve to educate yourself and instruct others on this country’s essentials- read or reread the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence this year.
Resolve to share these with your co-workers, neighbors and relatives, esp. your children and other young people as they sure ain’t gettin’ it in public schools.
Resolve to use the soap box, the ballot box and pray that we don’t have to resort to the third American box- the ammunition box.
As a sixty year-old baby-boomer- oh cursed generation!- so much for sailing into the sunset all warm and fuzzy to LaLaLand to bask in the refulgent rays of self-indulgence and bellybutton meditation!
I resolve to get off my “blessed asset”- Ephesians chapter six myself and get to work as a Happy Warrior- looks like 2010 is going to be a very ‘interesting’ year, to say the least!- well, the only easy day was yesterday and ‘pain is weakness leaving the body’!
May God bless all of you and yours this New Years day and may the Good Lord continue to bless America.
                  Nemo me impune lacessit.
                  MOLON LABE!

Bert, well said . . . I can assure you that even though I dont have the firepower in my aresenal I am sure that some other hicks out there do and I am also sure that they can shoot like I can!!! With that said, we should definatly try the peaceful approace first!:D(not that you were suggesting otherwise)-basically what I am saying is that the second they take my guns away the fool that did it will get the boot! We have the right to reject our leaders of there leadership!

I hate to dampen all this barrel stroken… but getting people jazzed up about the possibility of losing their guns is a slick political trick to keep people from thinking about the real pressing problems of the day.

I own my share of guns and am not the least bit worried that they will be taken away.

What I am worried about is:

                      -Industrial Farming is poisoning the land and killing us;
                      -Corporate Greed combined with government lobbying is driving this country to financial ruin;
-The atmosphere is being ruined by pollution.

These and many other problems are the real problems. But Listen, this forum is supposed to be about hunting and archery and other great things 😆 . Not the worries of modern life. I won’t argue these points further. I just wanted to add my perspective to the priority of problems we face.

A bloated government that IS stripping away our liberties (emphasis on the plurality) is the real problem. But this site is about traditional bowhunting so I won’t argue THESE points any further. 😀

its because of the terrorist, they feel they need to take away our liberties to protect us, but the truth is that if we just had all of our liberties we could protect ourselves!

                                Reg Darling,
You hit the nail on the head. The “losing gun rights” thing is a smokescreen.
I’d strongly recommend seeing the film “Food Inc.”
Eat more wild game, grow more of your own veggies. Stay healthy.

Gentlemen and ladies- I thought this forum was for topics outside traditional bowhunting- did I misread the title?
I assure you I’m not a paranoid chicken-little running around screaming the black helicopters are coming to take our weapons and put us all in vile concentration camps! However, eternal vigilance is the price of liberty;remember also that every law in this land is backed by a gun- don’t pay your property taxes and you’ll quickly find out. Some say this is all a “smokescreen” but where there’s smoke it usually means there is a fire- check out what happened to the good citizens of Great Britain, Australia and Canada concerning gun rights- lost or severely curtailed not that long ago and you can’t bowhunt in Germany so it can affect us also.
I think SteveMcD nailed it when he wrote ‘termiting’- the slow erosion bit by bit until the foundation is rotten- the old “how do you boil a frog? answer- slowly!”
So we may sit on our blessed assets boasting ‘I got mine!’,
but what about your kids and their children- will they be allowed to have theirs? Will the Chinese Landlords of America permit bowhunting and will I have to plant a tree to buy a carbon arrow?!!
See what happens when bowhunting season is over- too much time to rant and rave as the old curmudgeon I’ve morphed into these past six decades and yes, GTA, those mastodons were vicious back in the days before the invention of the bow and EFOC!
Well, I survived Jimmy Carter so I guess I’ll survive the current TOTUS and assembled bureaucratic nightmare- but not without some bitchin’ and rumblin’.
Remember, boys and girls, the words of the great science-fiction writer, Robert Heinlein, who penned, “An armed society is a polite society” and now let’s return to the subject of self-knocks, shield or parabolic cut, different pointy and sharp things we can attach to our arrows and other more pleasing topics.
Bert the hoplophile(look that up, GTA!)

No really a gun nut, but that first one was the second definition!? I think that was well said. Just one quesiton what is with the chinese landlords permiting bowhunting, is there something I should know?

Our politicians are too busy to worry about our petty problems as serfs. They are busy scheduling appointments with Oprah Winfrey and Good Morning America. Giving away our tax money to Wall Street and unions. The guy sitting in the Oval Office certainly knows a lot about history. He thinks that Hirohito personally surrendered to McArthur and does not understand the difference between a soldier and a terrorist who targets non combatants and holds no honor. I guess that’s why they call him a progressive. I don’t know..

Now to the gun rights. Old deal. Not knocking you for posting it at all. The fact is both political parties are not looking much different right now. It has been this way for a while now. None of them can be trusted if you ask me. Vote with your money and in the polls. Any politician who is willing to surrender or erode your right to defend yourself isn’t worth a turd. It isn ot the only issue but it certainly is a measure of their morals, wisdom and intelligence. In fact if you read anything about how the 2nd Amendment came to be you will be sure that it wasn’t for some ragtag military use but instead for personal use. I could go grab my book and post a good quote but it would be like preaching to the choir boys.
