That’s some pretty contry #1 . I get to return to some of those SPECIAL places from time to time , where my DAD and I roamed the woods and streams for many years .
I surely would like to have one of those SHACKS . Just to sit and think ,,,,,,,sip some fresh coffee,,,,,,,or some WILD TURKEY 101 with a good friend .
1 SHOT , that’s a beautiful bow and quiver ya have there too.

For me, Special places are made more special while having recurve in hand… The lean-to is made with discarded wooden fence, left-over alum roofing panels, the bench is made with cedar trees and wired together…More then a few “brews” have been drank there hehehe(I slept there the night of “super storm Sandy” last year, snug, warm and safe)…
Bow is a BlackWidow in fall oak, quiver is handemade by a NA lady in Oklahoma with some coyote fur around opening I added…

Lovely photos. I like the frost melting snoozer right below you. The personal history must be very special as well.

Hey 1
Folks don’t realize how beautiful NYS is. My Adirondacks is such a part of my very soul that if I’m away for too long it bothers me. My wife even says when we reach a certain point in the drive up, as we pull off the highway onto the back roads my whole demeanor changes. Great shots great story! Good luck this season 😀

Yeah, if you say “New York’ all people think of is NY City, this area is 70miles(and 3hour drive)from the City…
I have hunted around Bleeker in the Adirondaks for around 25years(rifle), another great place to get “lost”…
Take care and Good Luck on your hunts…

Beautiful places. You are lucky to have them.

Grew upin Washington County.
Stone walls in the strangest places. Can’t imaging why, too rocky/steep/dry for good pasture. And Oh My God, can’t imaging the work that went into building them, with only a horse (and kids) to help. Only good thaig was the cost of materials…
Beautiful pics. That one of the napper is a classic.
