Couple pics of my first morning out. No deer but a great morning.

Hope everyone else had a good day as well!

Glorious looking place and weather… folks I know tried but was raining badly Central PA so they decided n ot to risk blood trails in the rain.

Where might that be—generally speaking, of course!?

The morning spot is a State Game land in south western PA (general enough I think! Lol)It is a great spot and why I was glad that PA has a BHA chapter now to help keep them for what they are intended for. Here are a few pics of this afternoons hunt. A private farm open to the public not far from my morning hunt. The wind was much better tonight and I saw 4 gobblers, 2 doe and a 4 point buck. No shots developed but it was great getting out.

Good luck to everyone this season!

I was “guessing” that water pic had to be somewhere in W. PA.

Years ago, I had a place to gun hunt down in S. Green Co on the W.VA line… awesome country…po’ though! Geeze…

Pretty area! At least you had decent weather… what I heard tell it was pretty wet and/or windy up where I used to hunt in Centre Co.

Dreary day here..windy and cold and damp…but it felt like hunting weather…sorta made me sad… Hopefully clear off tomorrow as I got some “carpentry” work to do to build some stuff for in the truck bed to haul stuff. Sunny and not too windy afternoon would be sweet!

Hunt smart. Be safe! Keep posting…my hunting will all be vicarious this year!

Nice photos Brennan, I love the colours in those first two. Beautiful waterway too.

Pa has some incredible country. Too bad the game officers and biologists aren’t allowed to run the show…

Hey…look at this old Neandrathal posting from a smart phone!!! Thanks to Web mom’s coaching…

                      Ain’t life grand?

When I see a beautiful field surrounded by brushy edges like that, I start drooling for groundhog. I’d have to skulk about the edges of that thing looking for one of those whistle pigs…

There’s one hanging around a neighbors field these days. Every time I drive out I see him about 200 yards across the field standing there looking at me.

                      Good luck!

I, too, love hunting them whistle pigs…

Only know one person in TN so far and they said they never saw one or shot one… that doesn’t bode real well, but, back here, it’s so built up, that while they exist in numbers, can’t hunt most of them…

Way “clean farming” took over the E. Part of PA or Central/SE that I know best, a mouse would have to pack a lunch after harvest time…they even bale up the cornstalks!!!8)
