NPR just finished a segment of today’s Talk of the Nation program on hunting. As usual, it was excellent journalism, and I highly, highly recommend that you check it out on their page if you missed the live broadcast. For that matter, share it with everyone you know. You may be surprised, almost certainly will be pleased, and will probably really enjoy your fifteen minute listen. The audio should be available in three hours or so I believe.

Dan — Who were the guests speaking for hunting? I was on that same show many years ago but the host, different guy than now, gave all the time to call-in critics and between the three hunter-speakers I got only seconds and was so frustrated I swore off call-in talk shows and have turned many down since. If you can provide a link, I’m sure many of us will check it out, thanks.

Looks like the “Listen to the Story” is up and working. As of the first few lines, I like it. The “tracing their food to their source…” is something I am surprised many non-hunters even understand. I guess I was/am wrong. Good show. Be well.

Dave,
I understand. When I heard it begin I thought “Oh gosh, here it comes.” But I was very pleasantly surprised. I tried 21 times to call in, but I need not have bothered. I doubt I could have said any better what was said by both the callers and in-studio guests. True, it was not bow hunting specific though bow hunting did play a role), but it was excellent all the same. I was in line to pick up my daughter from school, and was cheering excitedly when I heard them make a statement or point that I have been espousing for years. It was like I was listening to my favorite team play a great game. I am sure the other parents were probably a bit confused, but I’ll take it.
