        In light of his 25th year of making Northern Mist Longbows, Steve Turay made the Northern Mist Silver, and only made twenty-five. They are all black Whispers, with white, bone tips. When he had told me about them, I couldn’t pass it up, and placed an order. I brought mine home from the Expo in Kalamazoo. I love it!

        This is my last bow purchase. From now on, it’s all about putting the bows I have to good use. 8)

        I almost forgot. Each Silver has a year of our choosing on it. One of the twenty-five years Steve’s been making them. I chose my son’s birth year, since it will eventually be passed on down to him.

        It took me so long to post this because those black limbs and white tips are hard as hell to photograph (I only have my smart phone for such occasions currently).

            😆 You don’t believe me, eh? I needed one more, relatively light poundage bow. Since my first longbow, a 45# @ 28″ Northern Mist Baraga, is my son’s. That’s my story anyway. 😉

            Yes, it is a beauty. I love how the black linbs appear outlined by white. I tried to make sure and capture that with the photos.

              I think you’re hooked so I think, no. 😀

              That’s my story:lol:

              I bet she shoots sweet especially being 66″.

                :shock::shock::shock:

                Wow, Patrick – that is a stunning NM, for sure. Have you been able to shoot it much yet? I’ve never heard anything but high praise for Turay’s bows (I’m pretty intrigued but the Superior).

                And congrats on your last bow!

                  Oh ye of little faith! 😆

                  I’ve shot it quite a bit, as has my son. It’s a great shooter…smooth as silk. I don’t use silencers on any of my bows (I don’t own any recurves), yet it is unbelievably quiet.

                    That sure is a beauty. Steve was telling me about that bow and how beautiful it turned out. Glad you love it! Good luck with the “last new bow” thing!

                    Steve builds some excellent bows. Im loving mine and cant wait for my second one to be done!
