can someone please explain whats causing my arrow to fly nock right at release and flight? i bareshafted and thought everything was tuned. i sure dont remember this then they still stick where i’m aiming pretty much but i just noticed this crazy arrow flight. Im thinking form, but the more i analize it and try correcting it the worse it seems. Also seems to be worse the more i cant the bow. im just frustrated now. How will this affect penetration as well? Any reason other than form to cause this? Any suggestions appreciated!

When in doubt, go back to bare shaft tuning. Something has changed…
Brace height?
String nock slip?
anchor point change?Who knows what it will turn out to be… But it sure sounds like stiff arrows.

If I’m looking at your avatar pic right you have your quiver on your left shoulder. Are you by chance left handed? If so tail right would mean weak spine.

No Troy i’m right handed. the opening to the quiver is at the bottom on my right side. (Safari Tuff quiver)

The only other thing that I can think of that would cause nock right when you cant the bow would be feather contact with the shelf. If the nock right gets worse the more you cant it sounds like your really getting tail high kick from feathers contacting the shelf. Check your nocking point heigth with a tee square. Then move the nocking point up the string by 1/8″.
The reason I say try this is you could be pushing the limits of allowable clean shaft shooting with the bare shaft, yet once fletched your feathers are making the contact and bouncing the nock up and right.
If this is the correct fix, great. If it’s not, then you will know how much to move the nock back down the string.
