Half out of the saddle still…..maybe more than that, my trad urges won’t rest.

For those recalling my few posts, I’m still kicking. Just not too high but thankful none the less.

Might be hunting this fall (with a “WEENIE” bow) but …..HUNTING!

I was checking in to see if any of you had gotten any “Meatheads” yet from Joe (vintagearcheryco.com).

At approx. 190 grains they might be a little more doable on weenie bow arrows…….AND CARBON STEEL.

Hey….I’m OLD AND I LIKE OLD WAYS. Carbon steel is still a good un, and I like that Joe came out with them.

        God Bless

Hey Sr. — Always good to hear from a friendly ghost! 😆 Yes, I have Meatheads and love ’em. Ain’t killed anything with them yet, but it’s not the killing season for me. Maybe I’ll accidentally fall on one while out for a turkey walk, and then will have a more informed report for you. Welcome back. Dave

Joe – any plans for a screw-in version of the Meathead?

I am new here, and I don’t mean to interrupt your guys conversation, but, I want to try the meatheads out on some white tails this fall. They do some good damage and penetrate?

I never used single bevel before.

                      I will be shooting a 50# longbow.

Meatheads on the way – thanks, Joe.

I’m planning on setting them up with a 75 gr. screw-in adapter and 50 gr. insert for a total head weight of 315gr. (total arrow weight – 655gr.) and assuming everything flies well (no reason it shouldn’t), I think that’s going to be my set up for the coming season.
