I’m awaiting arrival of my second recurve. I had previously bought a 1970 Grizzly #45 and I love it. Waiting on shipment of a 1966 Kodiak left hand @ #65 lbs. I’m going to be putting on fresh beaver fur strike plate and rest and a B55 flemish twist string with some beaver balls and I may wrap the ends of the strings in wool and apply some felt to the limb string pockets. I want it to be quiet.  The bow has the brown limbs and gorgeous white and brown fiberglass lamenation on the riser. The looks really pretty and almost new. I can’t wait to see it in person. 😁

I haven’t owned a grizzly , but have owned a couple Kodiaks over the years.  Excellent bow. On silencing recurves I also used to pad the bow limb against the string slap , by padding the string there and or bow tape on the limb…

Hey Jeremiah! Did you receive your new/old bow yet? I just picked up a 1976 Kodiak Hunter with dark green limbs for a steel at a local pawn shop. It is beautiful and shoots amazingly well. Love it!

Jeremiah:  You are going to love your 66 Kodiak!  I bought a 1966 Kodiak a couple of years ago off of Ebay.  I have to be honest it is my favorite bow of all that I own!  Mine is in very good condition, Bubinga and Golden Rosewood, with white accents and brown glass.  Mine is 40# and it still shoots beautifully!  It speaks so well of the glory days of vintage recurve bows.  Good shootin Jeremiah!
