Nick Dedaker here. Retired teacher and good friends with T.J. and Larry and, of course, Robin. I have also served on the Compton board for ten years.
My son and I hunted the second archery season last year in NM unit 52. We hunted the Las Cruses Basin in the norhtern part of the Unit. We saw far too many hunters on our particular mountain. We tried to drive around the basin and hunt other areas.
We are going back this year with a land owner tag. This gives un the right to hunt all public ground in 52 and any private ranch that participates in the land owner tag system.
I am not asking you to divulge the exact spot you may have hunted if you have hunted this unit. I am asking for any advice on the unit further south of Cruces Basin. We are doing the map research and using Google Earth but thought I would ask the question to maybe narrow our search.
