At a recent tournament I found a deal on a nearly pristine 32# Pro Line Golden Eagle recurve. It’s a target bow that back in the day was THE bow to beat. As I recall the Golden Eagle was the bow that shot the first few perfect 300s at Vegas.
I have no idea why I need this bow, I have no arrows that are even remotely close to the 700 spine the chart calls for and I don’t shoot any of the styles that would be appropriate for this type of bow.
But, it’s really cool and should be a fun spare time project.

Shooting a piece of history is reason enuff…..
Did you take it for a spin on the course?

Sadly, the original rest was brittle and broke on the first shot. I also had to get an adapter for the stabilizer since the riser was oddly enough drilled & tapped 1/4-20.
I’ve shot it a few times in the workshop. A whole ‘nother experience going from a canted 60# bow to a vertical bow half that weight. I still need to spend some time with an arrow chart to get the proper spined arrows. Somehow it just doesn’t seem right shooting carbons out of this bow.

Richard sounds like you are getting it sorted out , should be a nice Bow to spend a lazy afternoon with…..

I haven’t shot aluminum in awhile, mostly wood ( Spruce recently ) and carbon for efoc….

Raymond;
Take this for what it’s worth; 2117s are a great shaft. I’ve shot a bunch of them. However, the Autumn Orange when in a bowquiver can catch the early morning or late evening light and literally glow. Something you have to see to believe.
