Welcome aboard! I’ve been hunting my whole life, but just switched to a recurve last season. At this point, I don’t even feel handicapped anymore. In fact, the trad guys I know do just as well in the woods, or better, than the rest of our hunting buddies.

Be careful though. It’s a pure addiction.
