        H,

        I’m new to Traditional Bowhunter.I’m in my late fifties and want to hunt with a longbow.I’m in the process of making my longbow.Would like to know if there are others my age that I could pick their brain that would help me along the way.I hunted when I was younger with a gun,but would like to do it with a longbow this time.I thank you for your time.Peace be with you.:)

            Welcome, Bill. I think you’re unfairly restricting yourself by asking for help from others your age. We have experts of all ages here in pretty much every aspect of bowyery, archery, gear, and hunting. You might have better luck asking specific questions … that usually brings ’em out of their caves. 😆

              Welcome. Take your time. No point in rushing. There are many people here that will offer excellent advice. I, unfortunately, am not one of them 😥 . But I can’t wait to read the replies. Be well.

                Welcome! I am in that age group, but I don’t know Jack or Jill about building a longbow. lol Good luck and keep us informed on how it’s going.
