I decided to buy a bow. Ive been making my own self bows and boo backed ipe for a few years. My bowyer skills are average so i figured I should buy a nice bow to see what inspires me.
I looked at a used Montana, an old Bushmaster and a custom built Bamabow. It was pretty nerve wracking. Ive never shot glass and had some reservations. “Wouldn’t it be cool to say that Ive never shot a compound nor a glass bow nor used a rifle as a hunter?” I thought to myself.
I got lucky and found this

All wood and grass. Bamboo back, cherry and bonde mahogany lams and bamboo belly.
The bow was made by James Parker for a man in Michigan. Mr. Parker named this style of bow he makes Bamboo Dragon.
At my 29.5″ draw its pulling right around 53#
66″ ntn
weighs 18oz!!!! Crazy light!
Cant wait to tune this up! Ive got some spruce shafts and some bamboo shafts that shoud work well with the 225 Tuffheads.
Im psyched
