Hello all,
I know this is an open ended question, but heregoes. I am considering the purchase of a new traditional style bow and am torn between the Dalla recurve and the Tomahawk Woodland Hunter Diamond series. I have been shooting my fathers Shakespere Wonderbow, but it is way to noisy to hunt with. I would welcome any and all advice from those with more experience than I.:?

Your going to get alot of opinions on this subject. All I can say is find a place to try ever bow you can. After you have shot afew different styles and makes, it’s then up to you to deside. Only you can say as to what you want.

I’d do what Troy suggests but in the mean time, while you are taking your time pondering which bow to get, there are some things you can do to quieten that Shakepeare.
First make sure you have the right length string on it, then make sure your brace height is correct (it could be between 7-1/4″ and 8″). Twist the string tighter or loser to change the brace height. Next add some string silencers, catwiskers or wooly puffs can do wonders. Start with the silencers about one hand span from each limb tip then try adjusting them in or out as needed. Another benefit of having all of this as correct as possible is improved arrow flight.
Hope this helps
