i have a robertson stykbow 62 inces,60lb at 28.i baught it used at the footed shaft minnesota two years ago,in the last 7 or so months i have been noticing more and more bare wood on the sides not on the back or belly just the sides.now can i just spray it with clear enamel,can i keep shooting it in the mean time.your advice is mutch appreciated because i am worried about my bow i saved for three years for that thing it is my only one and i would not no whate to do during the long boring summer if it broke

Are you sure it’s delaminating or is the finish just wearing off? I would give Dick a call 406-538-2818 and discuss this with him. If it’s a finish problem a quick fix is to apply a little super glue to the area in question. Another option is to have the bow refinished.

I would call the Robertsons and see about sending the bow back for a refinish. If that doesn’t work you can check here. http://droptinetraditions.com/php/ or here… For a last resort you can have it camo-dipped which it basically permanent.

I’m with Larry–call Dick and get his advice. If it’s a matter of nicks in the finish, a dab of super glue will hold you out until you can get it refinished, if that’s what it needs. And keep it away from moisture as much as possible. Don
