        If I am remembering correctly, several issues back, there was a story about hunting in Texas. There was a picture of a shoe store in the middle of nowhere that the author mulled over but couldn’t explain.

          Ah,yeah, Marfa, Tx. Wonderful tomatoes come from there!! Results perhaps of whatever be the source of the “Marfa Lights”.:D Be really big country down that away!

            National Geographic did a Zip USA article on Marfa, TX a few years ago, but I couldn’t find it for free on their website. Great article you posted, thanks!

                It was in “Winter Respite” By TJ Conrads, Apr/May 12.

                I had mentioned that the locals { I hunt and Have friends in the area], all said what your article mentions, and Mr Conrads did also { He originally – of course in the art }. Marfa has become quite the little art colony. Not exactly what one would expect for the “Blood and Thunder Reputation of the Big Bend of Texas.
