If it’s the one on ground blinds, that was a good one. I like going light too, but can someone tell me how you can sit on the ground with a longbow and shoot without a stool? Every time I try and practice that the dang limb contacts the ground and my shot goes flying off the shelf like a drunk stumbling out of a bar. Maybe I need more practice???

Dave had two articles in the Feb/Mar issue, A North American Model of Wildlife Conservation and Campfire Philosopher Motors vs Moose. Which article are you referring to?

The North American Wildlife model article. He has put to words my thoughts and feelings of the apathy that is shown by hunters in this country when it come to instant gratification. The “its a free country” and the way I hunt is my business attitude that has over taken hunting and needs to be reined in. I never have under stood the “free country” line 100’s of thousands of people have fought and died for this country. Freedom is not Free. We have the wildlife resources today because of the sacrifices of those that came before us.

In books and articles, Mr. Peterson has expressed opinions (which I hold dear) in a manner to take note of. I have read nearly all his books and would recommend them to any and everyone with a passion for the hunt, critters and wild places. His endorcement is why I have joined Backcountry Hunters and Anglers and am saving $ for the Life Membership. I am a life member or RMEF, Trout Unlimited and NRA (though a “trad” bowhunter only for the past 28 yrs).
