My youngest daughter and I went down to check the Eagles this morning. The trees have leafed out enough now that the nest is almost impossible to see. I did get some good pictures of the parents though.

Along the way we saw these critters too.

A good day for a drive.

Very nice pictures. What is that bird after the eagles?

According to my bird book it is a Little Blue Heron. We have lots of Great Blue Herons and Green Herons but I don’t see too many of the Little Blue’s around here. He was nice enough to pose for a picture about 30 yards from the truck.

I am trying to make it a habit to get on the web-site and forums on a daily basis. Lucky for me I’m my own boss and have the time should I choose. ANYWAY, I had to comment that these photos look just like spring here in Connecticut in the Lower Connecticut river basin. Eagles flying, Herons, Egrets, and I’m always happy to see the return of the Turtles.:D

In case you read this Mr. Peterson, I’m on my third book of yours. Just fantastic reads, I love ’em.
