Has any one ever used the Mathews Monkey Tails string silencers on a recurve or longbow?

I have them on my predator hunter recurve. Had string jacks but they were always moving and later came apart. The monkey tails stay put and hold up well. Big fan.

Probably will work like a string leech.

Seems like a lot of money to spend when a bit of wool yarn will do the same thing…

Just my 2¢. I believe monkey tails are more for compounds than traditional bows. I am no expert, but I think they would have a negative impact on arrow speed, or they just don’t do as good a job as (like stated above) some yarn. Maybe the manufacturer has info?

                  😕

No experience with them but I like rubber cat whiskers – they work, they’re cheap, and they don’t mind the rain, especially here in wet wet Ireland 🙄
