I’m a bit early but don’t expect to be back on the computer for a while so..
Merry Christmas!
Also a bit of a farewell for me. As of 15th Jan I’ll be pretty much gone for a year and a half. I’ll still lurk around when I can and try to catch up on what folks are doing.
It’s my understanding an Army officer course basically just teaches you how to swish cognac around in a glass, smoke cigars and sit in leather chairs. You’d think they’d be able to teach all that in less than 18 months 🙄
Rest assured when I have quiet moments I’ll be day dreaming of stalking slowly through the woods with bow in hand 😉

First, thank you for your service… the world is a better and safer place because of those like you!
Second, you, Sir, will be missed here and at home mightily, that’s for sure and certain!
I’m hoping that your training will indeed be as rumored, but I’m sure before they let you in the elite club, they will make you pay your pound of flesh or two! 8)
Be safe. Stay well… and hang loose!
And Merry Christmas to you and yours and all the fine folks who post here and who keep this up and running!!!

Thanks.

All the best to all of you over the holidays – you make this the best, most informative and most entertaining forum on the interwebs!
And the campfire won’t be the same without you, Jim. But we’ll save you a stump for your return, and maybe even sweep it off from time to time… 😉

Merry Merry Christmas! I am looking at a present under the tree with my name on it and it is big and blocky looks to be about the size of my shot up old block target that occasionally allows an arrow to pass through. Somehow my son may have gotten the idea that Dad needed a new one. It may have been something I casually brought up at some point…:D
I wonder if he has figured out his rectangular box that is about the size of a dozen carbon arrows!
Blessings to you Jim!

Merry Christmas Jim, and to the rest of you hunyackers too.
Eighteen months will fly by. If you have free time, don’t waste it on the ‘puter. Spend it with those wee wonders.
I know I speak for all when I say we look forward to your return to the fire.
Good luck, and happy new year too!

Jim–Linda and I send our best. Congrats on the selection and success in your venture. As Steve said–use these 18months to spend time with the family.
Once you hon those stated 3 skills don’t forget to pay attention when they teach you to THINK!:D That’s what separates the Churchill’s from the Chamberlains.
Fair winds my friend.
Happy holidays to the rest of this tribe. Mom I’m sure most will join me in wishing you and yours another successful year to come. Thanks for all that you do.

Oh crap–I listened and watched Jason and got permission based on Paleo’s post—The clatter on the roof, bright red nose perfect double lung behind left shoulder. What a mess neighbor kids screaming and I got a reindeer to gut and skin, fat guy in red suit beating me up–heck it was a wing shot for crying out loud:oops:
Have a great morning 😀
