I have become re-aquainted with my x- brother- in- law . He now owns a small farm within 8 miles of me . I have obtained permission to hunt at my leasure on his property thru this friendship.
Nearly every time I go to visit I have my tackle with me and this has caused an interest from Glyn. He loaned me the ”JOURNALS OF LEWIS AND CLARK” and I loaned him my copy of ‘INSTINCTIVE SHOOTINGII’ by G. Fred .
This evening he called me for recommmendations on purchasing a bow .
I know for a fact that he is HOOKED on this trad bow phenomenon . I took a bow to his place two weeks ago and gave him some pointers as he shot the old Jeffery recurve . He did quite well.
Needless to say I am excited about helping a GOOD friend get into Traditional Archery .

That’s great that fences are mended and you now have a beginning trad friend. Hope the two of you make some good memories in the future seasons.

Well it’s been nearly a month since brother-in-law got his new Samick . He shot 40-50 arrows that evening and hasn’t had time since .
I just finished fletching his arrows and this afternoon he came by to assemble the broadheads . We finished up and he said he’d better get home . I asked ‘ Ain’t ya gonna shoot a couple ?’ He smiled and said , well ,,a couple .
He shot three arrows at about 12 yards . Any one would have been in the boiler room of a deer . I went to pull the arrows and set a walnut on top of the target . Pulled out one of my blunts and handed it to Glyn. As he loaded I kept reminding him to focus focus focus. His first arrow was just below the walnut. I pulled the arrow and again emphasised focus . He steadied , stared and released . 3 out of 5 were direct hits . Every time he’d go get that chewed up walnut and just look at it with amazement.
I know he’s hooked .
