Are you talking about McAlister, OK? If so, when I hunted there many years ago you had no real choice as to where you hunted. We drew numbers and got on busses and were dropped off every quarter mile or so along various roads. But maybe all of that has changed. Although I got a deer, the restrictive system took a lot of fun out of the hunt. But geeze, I’ve never seen such a concentration of deer! Have fun, dave

Now they draw u out to areas the size im in just under 9800 arces. everyone says it wild down there though thanks for the words

It’s been about 10 yrs since I hunted deer creek, so I can’t help you much with specifics. Seems I killed a small buck off the ground on the last day of the hunt off of “C” Tree Rd. I noticed you posting on a few other sites I visit, bout all I can add is you don’t need to worry about huntin too close to a road, they wander back and forth across them all day. I wouldn’t waste my time hunting a food plot there unless you find a really good trail and follow it several hundred yards back and hunt. Try to hang in there and hunt all day and you will see some good deer. Bringing one home will be up to you! Good Luck! 😀
