Went this morning for awhile to kill the itch and get a break from fishing. The air felt more like a jungle….Convinced myself I was happy at the lack of a shot.:D

        Anybody else hunt summer pigs?

The only summer pigs I get to hunt are ground hogs 😯

I know most people hate having pigs living around them. But I sure wouldn’t mind some pigs to hunt.

Where are you hunting these summer pigs? You lucky dog.

SE Georgia……They’re fun to hunt (and to put on the smoker), but ecologically they’re vermin. I try to shoot every one I can.

I wish we had Hawgs up here in Montana, but the only ones we got they ride and leak oil. 😛

Nothing like hunting in the steam bath, skitters, and gnats. Piggies are fun

                  CarolinaBob,

Where are you in South Carolina, I grew up in Bamberg. I was in the heart of the low country and border of the midlands. Sketters, gnats, and steam I miss home. Sitting in the stand having a deer walk in and 3 sketters biting all at once and still holding it steady nothing like it. I miss the BBQ, liver pudding grits, Iced tea sweet that is, I need to stop now or hop on a jet.

Come on down, USMC….we’ll fry up a bunch of redbreasts and have cheese grits and hushpuppies.:D

USMC I live in Hanahan, 10 miles from Charleston. The heart of the Lowcountry. Shrimp and grits, frogmore stew, Thermacell don’t leave home without it.

                        Tailfeather, CarolinaBob,

Tailfeather, red breast and grits sounds good. I like the catfish stew as well. CarolinaBob I have been to Charleston many, many times I love Charleston. I went to Hymans the last time I was there for my oldest daughters graduation. I have spent a lot of time in the market downtown. Nice little burger joint on the corner near the port I think it was two sisters who owned the place small blue building at the end of the parking area along the market. I played against Hanahan in the playoffs in american legion ball around 80-81.
