I’ve decided to make a short film this winter about the pursuit of snowshoe hare with a recurve and a longbow. The segment linked below looks at things from the perspective of the other party to the transaction. No lagomorphs were harmed in the making of this video. But it wasn’t for lack of trying on today’s outing in perfect conditions.
As you all know, picking a spot and actually hitting it is a matter of mere inches. And the daily bag limit on digital cameras is 1. One. 😯

Haha….that was awesome. Looking forward to more! 😀

That’s creative, Charles–from the bunny’s pov. But why didn’t the camera run away when you shot? 😆

The camera was “stumped” at the time. 🙂

Hahaha, that’s excellent. Was it a shock proof camera or were you just very lucky?

I was extremely lucky, aided in that by the fact the camera spun around unencumbered after being struck. For any interested, it’s a somewhat older Canon PowerShot A550.
Here’s the (near) coup de grâce:

I have the A540 so it must be about the same. It deserves to be shot! I don’t use it much anymore. It ate batteries like an alkaline-holic.
