Looking for ideas for a kids archery class

Hello:

I’m helping with a week long, 2 hr/day kids archery camp. 11 kids, 10-13 yrs old, 1/2 boy, 1/2 girls. I’ve got recurve bows, arrows, targets. In addition to shooting, I hope to make finger tabs, turn dowels into arrows. Maybe make simple arm guards if I can find an easy design. I’d love to hear what ideas you all would suggest for a class like this.

Make PVC bows.  Easy, fun, and cheap.  Can be done with just hand tools, except for heat gun.  There is a thread on here somewhere showing some bows I made with my nephews at the beach a few years ago…  Maybe called “beach bows” or something.

 

Kids seem way more interested and committed when they are shooting a real bow they made.  Dang lot o fun.
