I am planning a hunt to St. Vincent Island in the Florida Panhandle next year. I have hunted there before and it is a special permit hunt only. There are a lot of deer and a lot of hog, also Sandbar Deer, they need a special permit I believe. When I hunted there a few years ago it was a good hunt but I went by myself and camped for the 3 days of the special archery hunt. I did not take any deer then but I saw a lot good shooters just not within bow range.
Any way this will be in the beginning of November 2011 Dates are yet to be announced. This will be a pack in and camp hunt. You are hunting on an island and the weather is in the low 50’s to the high 70’s. It is a bow hunt only for deer and hog, no sandbar deer.
If interested send me a email or post here and I will send the link for the special permit application which only costs $25.00

Nothing major just drive across the bridge you have to have the proper permit though.

Fred Bear did a video about St. Vincent Island. It shows the character of the place. If you can get ahold of the video collection, it’s in there.
If old Fred liked it, it must be good.
