        It’s been a while since I’ve been on this site. My work and a new granddaughter pretty much take up my time.

        Whenever you’re out in the woods, in your yard, or where ever you may be, look up once in a while.

        We were at the BMX track last night at Miami, Ok. and I got this shot. I used an 18mm lens setting on my Nikon and still couldn’t get the whole ring in the frame.

        How many have seen a ring around the moon? I believe several of you have. How many of you have seen a double ring? I have seen one double.

              Nice shot! There’s a bit of an astronomer lurking in me and I’m always keeping an eye out for different phenomenon. I spotted a pair of sun dogs the other day, only trouble was I was on the motorway which my wife quickly reminded me of when she saw me driving along staring at the sky 🙄

                      Great photo. I love to experience the outdoors without human-made pollution. I have heard that a ring around the moon means rain. Was that the case?

                        I’ve seen a double ring but more common in winter. Wonder if all the fires out west had anything to do with it?
