My hybrid longbow shoots a 840 grain arrow at 180 fps ,I don’t have a chronograph anymore. So I was wondering how fast do you guys think it would shoot the 350 grain arrow?

What poundage is your bow ?

What is your draw lenght ?

In any case , there are many elements to take into account and especially your release

if it was possible to clearly answer your question it would be the work of a medium

Another question, What kind of game do you hunt with 800 grains arrow ?

Sompin’ ain’ right…. Either you are shooting a bow that pulls eighty some pounds, or your crono was off.

Lets assume you are pulling eighty some pounds, then you have no business shooting a 350 grain arrow out of it. Shooting such a light arrow out of a heavy bow will damage it.

Additionally, a bow can shoot only so fast, no matter how light or heavy the arrow. If the arrow you are shooting is shooting well, it is a sure killer. One hundred and eighty feet per second is nothing to sneeze at. And throwing all that mass it will go through anything.

It is 100 lb pull ,I just always see the speed testing done with a standard of arrow being 350 grains ,just curious if someone knew ,or had an educated guess of what fps would be possible. No way would I shoot a different arrow ,the set up is awesome, just curious?

                Holy crap balls!!

That is one hell of a weapon!

                100# bow and a 800g arrow. 180fps!

You better get to Africa soon and hunt a Cape buffalo.8)

My plan was to build to 85 lbs but it was so smooth at 100 I left it .I have never bowfished with less then 80lb. When you are shooting thru water and and fish up to 70 lb it takes alot

                    Well said 😯

If you shoot a 350 grain arrow out of a hundred pound bow, you are essentially dry firing the bow. Nothing to learn from that exercise.

100 lb. 32.5 inch draw . If you had a Bow that was rated to shoot an 350 grain arrow at let’s say 210 fps but then you shot a 800 grain arrow from it ,how much speed would be lost?

You are asking for something that can’t be given. Every bow is different.
