Well I’ve got a take down riser I built and would like to make some layered limbs for it. I would like to use some bamboo I have and have some hickory and black walnut and red oak too. So I’ve got a plainer, saws, sanders and all.
Where should I start???????????????????????
I’ve only made board bows up till now and one kids self bow. -
BC — I believe it’s Bowyer’s Bible V2 that talks about lam bows. Someone here please correct me if I’m wrong. Point is, B B pretty much covers everything about everything, in one volume or another. Should be fun. dave

If you’re talking about glass laminated limbs, I would highly suggest getting one of the instructional DVDs from Binghams. I had a lot of the same questions before I started making recurves. The Bingham’s videos really simplified the process.

BC- Are you looking to use fiberglass, or simply do a few natural layers? Are you planning on putting a lot of recurve in the limbs?

I would really like to aquire the bibles and dvd’s but don’t have anything of the sort now. I want to put some r/d in the limbs but not big on the recurves yet. I was thinking about using some glass through resin and cloth but have never ordered any glass pieces.
Thanks for all the help!!! 😆
